For several years, I had been longing for a blue Chet grandson who could
"do it all." In April 2010, I bred Zelda to BISS Am GCH/Can CH Homespun Casual
Blues PT NA OAJ NF VCX (Calvin) in the hopes of fulfilling that dream.
Zelda whelped a litter of three boys on June 28, 2010, and to my delight,
two of those puppies were blue merle boys. Tequila was the second puppy to
arrive, and I loved him at first sight. I knew instantly that he was going
to be my keeper from that litter! Tequila was a handful from the get go,
and we lovingly refer to him as The Blue Tornado. <G>
Tequila won his first AKC conformation point in July 2011 from the 12-18
Class with Judy Stachowski at the end of the lead. After taking some time
off to mature and to do some agility training with me, Tequila began competing
in the conformation ring again in September 2012 with his Grandma Julie
(Iverson).
They quickly added 13 points and two specialty majors (under Carolyn Ing
and Kim Schive) toward the completion of his breed championship. On August
23rd, 2013, Tequila and Julie finished his AKC breed championship at the
Sugarbush Show in Chagrin Falls, OH. That was such a joyful day for us! Tequila
is the first champion for his dam (Zelda) and the sixth champion for his
sire (Calvin).
Tequila has a lovely head and outline and beautiful movement in all directions,
and he is agile, affectionate, scary smart and just a wonderful dog all the
way around.
On April 18, 2015, Tequila finished his PT at the ASSA National and became
our second homebred CH VCX!
Tequila is proven. His first litter arrived on August 13, 2013. It was an
all blue litter - 3 blue merle girls and 3 blue merle boys. We'll be eagerly
following the conformation and performance careers of those puppies.
Please check back often to see what's new with Tequila!

While he was on hiatus from the conformation ring, Tequila began taking agility
and herding lessons.
We think he's going to excel in both of those venues!

Everything Tequila does is filled with zest and joy!
Jane Tomer captured the essence of his personality perfectly in this photo!
When Tequila was young, one of his favorite things to do was to lay under
things.
Whenever I couldn't find him, he was usually asleep under the nearest snoozie
bed. <G>
Another one of Tequila's favorite activities was leaping out of the donut
bed and scaring his littermates.
In this photo, he was just getting ready to launch his latest attack on Tatum
and Timmy!!

Tequila's first big show was the ASSA National in St. Louis in April 2011.
Tequila loves to Happy Dance just as much as Zelda does!!
