On October 5, 2003, Balmoral's
Blue Moon CD, AX, AXJ earned his second MX leg at an agility
trial in State College, PA. As icing on the cake, Parker
also received third place in the 16" division. Parker
and his handler, Candace Heller, are hoping to earn a few more
MX legs before their agility season comes to a close in November!

On September 28th at the WCOTC
Obedience Trial in Delmont, PA, Solange Lo And Behold ("Spencer")
earned his first CD leg. Spencer was trained and handled
by Debbie Miller-Gurchak. We are very excited that Spencer's
performance career is underway!

On August 9th and 10th, Parker
and Candace Heller were burning up the agility rings in Medina,
Ohio. On Saturday, Parker earned his second AXJ leg with
a first place finish, and on Sunday, he completed his AXJ title
with another first place finish. As an added bonus, he
also earned his first MX leg on Sunday. His Royal Blue
Highness is now officially known as Balmoral's Blue Moon CD,
AX, AXJ. Thank you, Candace, for continuing to bring out
the best in our blue boy.

On July 25th, 2003 at the Dan
Emmett Show in Marion, Ohio, Chet went WD for the major he needed
to complete his American Championship. Chet is our first
conformation Champion, and we are thrilled that our lovely blue
boy now has both his American and Canadian Championships.
A huge thank you to Rose Linton for showing Chet to his first
three points and to Judy Stachowski for putting both of his majors
and the remaining points on him. After a few months of
rest and relaxation, Chet will begin training for agility.
We look forward to seeing him in the performance ring next.
Watch for Chet on the back cover of the next issue of The Southern
Sheltie Directory. We love the view from Cloud Nine!!

Parker had a great June and
July!! On June 22nd, Parker earned his second CD leg in
Berrien Springs, MI, and he completed his CD title on June 27th
in Bel Alton, MD. He wasn't finished yet!! On July 20th,
he completed his AX title with a second place finish, and as
an added bonus, he earned his first AXJ leg (also with a second
place finish) that day too. Parker and his handler, Candace
Heller, are on a roll!!

On May 11th in Delmont, PA,
Balmoral's Blue Moon, OA NAJ completed his Open Jumpers (OAJ)
title in style with a first place finish. This is the fourth
agility title that Parker has earned in the last ten months.
We are very proud of Parker and his handler, Candace Heller.

Kelbren's Blue Flame
was WD at the Cincinnati Specialty on May 25th under Gerald Schwartz.
In addition to his rosette, he received a lovely ASSA Medallion.
Chet was handled to this win by Judy Stachowski.

At the ASSA National in April
2003, Balmoral's Blue Moon NAJ, OA earned two performance legs.
On Monday of National week, he earned a CD leg and the next day,
he earned an Open Jumpers leg. That was the first time
that he had competed in either of those events, so we were thrilled
when he qualified in both events. We are very grateful
to Candace Heller for handling Parker to both of his wins in
Lansing.
In addition to Parker's rosettes, we brought something else home
from the National too---a blue merle female named Elsa (Kelbren
Come Hither). Elsa is sired by Ch. Shamont Lasting Impression
and out of Ch. Kelbren Tresta Tatianna (an Amos Moses daughter).
We have high hopes that Elsa will be our foundation bitch.
Elsa is fourteen weeks old in the photo below.

Chet needs just one more major
to finish! After a month at home, Chet went on the road
again with Judy Stachowski, and on March 22nd, Chet was WD/BW
under Judge Joe Mecera for his last two minor points. This
win brings Chet to thirteen points/one major.

On February 9th, Chet was WD/BW
under Judge Houston Clark for a four point major at the Indy
Winter Classic! Chet was handled to this thrilling win
by Judy Stachowski. To our delight, Judy and Chet have
earned eight points in their first two weeks of showing together.

On January 30th in Muncie,
IN, Chet entered the ring for the first time with his handler,
Judy Stachowski, and he went WD/BW. On February 1st, he
was WD in Muncie again for another two points. A great
week at the shows was made even more joyous by the arrival of
Chet's final OFA rating. Chet's hips prelimed "Good,"
and his final OFA rating was "Excellent." Needless
to say, we're thrilled!!
